Natural births without episiotomy or episiotomy after dilatation of the vaginal opening lead to longer delivery times and higher risks of brain damage to the baby.

A long and stressful delivery can result in a limp baby, crying vigorously after a while, and some extent of brain damage present when the baby leaves the hospital with his or her mother .

Long-term complications, associated with such babies, which appear later in life may include developmental disability, learning disability, poor sports ability, and mental diseases, such as depression or schizophrenia. All these conditions, which are caused due to brain dysfunction, may be prevented if the delivery time is shorter.

Moreover, dilatation of the vagina is not reversible, A dilateted vaginal opening becomes stilliform and may cause decreased sexual satisfaction and easily allow the entry of microbes, which leads to itching or foul smell.

Early episiotomy is a new method of child birth. After local anesthesia is administered, the babyʼs head emerges by 1-2 cm in diameter, and the opening of the birth canal is cut. This procedure is performed not only for the first delively but for subsequent deliveries as well. A shorter delivery time can prevent the birth of a limp baby. The stitched wound can be painful for several days, although the dilatations of vagina is minimal.

All doctors or midwives should consider the early episiotomy technique as an option to deliver the baby having a healthy brain function and maintain the contracted state of vagina.
